Through this shop, we have created a job-training program for people with barriers to employment. We teach our trainees barista skills as well as the soft skills required to obtain and retain employment. As a small independent shop, we are limited in how many employees we have, so our goal is to help our trainees find long-term employment at other coffee shops and restaurants around the city.
